Defending the faith with boldness

Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Philippians 1:20 According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.

1 John 2:28 And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.

Confidence is the feeling or belief that you can do something well or succeed at something. It is the constant reassurance given to oneself to prove that one can complete a task.

No body was born confident, you learn to be confident by virtue of your surroundings, the family you grew up in and your peers. Self- confidence can be learnt if you consciously program your mind to be it. Confidence has nothing to do with your temperament. Shy phlegmatic tends to make excellent speeches and do things you’d never imagined they could do.
Confidence starts with the way you walk, the way you present youself, the way you maintain steady eye contact and your sitting posture and then the way you express your feelings. It isn’t being proud, it is about being bold and not being intimidated by anything or anyone around you.

We can boldly defend our faith when we come together within the brotherhood but we find it so difficult to tell our friends about the truth. No body wants to be ridiculed. We can’t even tell people the name of our Ecclesia.

I know it might be so difficult for us especially in the world where everyone believes that we are all going to heaven and so you don’t even know how to start convincing them otherwise. But then, our society isn’t worst than the early Christians who faced persecution but never gave up.

What is the worst thing that can happen to us if we tell people what we believe in?

You will be so surprised to see their reactions , reasoning being that this gospel is so new to them and also true.

Before I accepted the Gospel; I had so many unanswered questions. No body was giving me the answers I needed because they don’t even know what it was.

This gospel was an eye openers. It brought peace and hope. We really should appreciate what we had and we shouldn’t hoard it. So many people are earnestly searching for what we have. We received it free of charge, we should freely give it out.

Confidently talk to your colleagues, friends and family about this Gospel. You never know if they have been waiting to hear those words. You don’t create enemies by preaching the gospel, you make friends and more importantly family.

2 Timothy 1:12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

Do you want to be saved? You have to believe in Jesus and his message of salvation.
