What does Study to show yourself approved mean?

2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

To study means to dedicate oneself to know a particular course. You can’t know a thing without studying and that is why Christaindom is in a bad state.People have refused to read and that is why they end up dividing the word of truth wrongly.

A lot of Christains do not even know what the bible is saying. Because they don’t read; they rely on their pastors for interpretation. They in turn tell them exactly what they want to hear.

These people claim to know their Bible but try opening the books of the minor prophets e.g Hosea, Obadiah e.t.c and demand for exposition and watch them disgrace themselves.
Our brother Robert Robert was so thoughtful to have brought the bible companion for our own consumption. We can now read the whole Bible from year to year in a well arranged manner and we cannot deny the impact it has made in our lives. We now know the truth without waiting for someone to interpret them to us. We are told to meditate on God’s word day and night.
While some people might find reading books to be fun, most find it so tiring. Imagine reading the same book over and over again.

It is said that a person would remain the same way they were except for two things; the people they meet and the books they read.
Everyone must not be a Polymath but you should know a little about everything. Do not be caught unaware in any trending event or incident.

How quick can you process an information?

How fast can you answer a question thrown to you?

Being versatile when it comes to knowledge helps you to be above your peers and makes you stand out. You can only deliver when you have much information stored in your brain.

If you are someone who doesn’t really enjoy reading, the best way to overcome this is by treating it as a habit and not for fun. For example; Nobody likes exercise because of the stress involved, but in other to stay fit; you must exercise. You then decide to make it a habit by forcing yourself to get up everyday and exercise. It gradually becomes a habit and progresses to something you can’t do without. Same goes with reading.

Reading at least 2 books in a month will enrich your life greatly. The internet is a great place to start from, there is no limit to the number of books you can download.

Your life and relationship changes when you read a lot of books. When you can’t seem to find the answers to any disturbing situation. Search them in a book, there are so many knowledge waiting to be grasped by someone.
