7 things that God hates

Proverbs 6:16 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
6:17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
6:18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
6:19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

I find the book of proverbs quite inspiring because it teaches a great deal about morals and a good daily living habits.

God hates a proud look. Haughtiness is when you look at another person with contempt. That is, looking down on someone.

It is a natural human instinct to first evaluate a person by mere looking at them. We take a close look at their attire, how they look, walk, their accent and then decide how to perceive them. If they don’t seem to intimidate us in anyway, We downgrade them. Life is always a competition and that is why everyone wants to do everything to gain that respect and not be disregarded.

It takes a great deal of self control for us not to look down on people because it is a natural human tendency.
God hates liars, killing of innocent people and a heart that plots evil.

But then, A false witness that speaks lies. Being a witness will not only be when you are called in court or somewhere else to testify. When you begin to gossip about someone else, you end up saying things that aren’t true which might discredit the person.

If you whisper a story in a circle and asks everyone to whisper the same story to their neighbor and make it go round, when it comes back to the person who said it first, the story will never remain the same.

You become a false witness when you share a story which is not truth maybe because of how badly you were treated or how much you dislike a person. Remember people naturally believe what they heard about someone even before meeting them. And they end up seeing them from the perceptive of what they heard.

Same goes with sowing seed of discord among ourselves. You don’t need anyone to take sides with you. There is no gratification in trying to win sides. Let everything be done in love and harmony.
Selfishness breeds all these behavior, this happens when we only think about ourselves and God hates it.

Do you want to be saved? You have to believe in Jesus and his message of salvation.
