After God revealed the 42 months’ timeline for the end time restoration of sovereign state of Israel (1948, 1967) to Daniel in 12:5-7. Daniel was still inquisitive. He perceived that the restoration of Israel was not really the year of the Messiah’s coming. Daniel (v 8) inquired to know what will follow this restoration or how it will all consummate.

“I heard, but I did not understand. Then I said, “O my lord, what shall be the outcome of these things?”” Daniel 12:8.

Then two other numbers where revealed. One is 1290days or years when interpreted. The other is 1335days or years if we interpret it too.

What can motivate anyone who really is seeking to understand the times is the fact that the angel before revealing the numbers said to Daniel “the wise will understand” vs 10.

Yeshua, sighting this same place said “Let the reader understand” Matthew 24:15. The wise here means the righteous, and not just the righteous but anyone who received the grace to really understand the times. Many have attempted to interpret, but none of us are prophets. At best, we are sure of prophecy when it is fulfilled, to the glory of God.

But, God in His infinite mercy can reveal the time of the end to us. Even this idea of revealing an event beforehand reflects God’s loving attribute of patience and love for us. He really wants us to be ready and wish not that any of us will perish. So, in the pages of the scriptures, He reveals His plans to us beforehand.

“The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9

“17 The LORD said, “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do, 18 seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?” Genesis 18:16,17.

Those who are in Christ are also sons and daughters of Abraham. God has revealed a lot of what He will do to us through the pages of the scriptures.

At worst, our interpretation can fail, but the word of God will still stand and must be fulfilled in His time.

1290 days interpreted:

1290 days is only mentioned in Daniel 12:11. It reads:

“¹¹ And from the time that the regular burnt offering is taken away and the abomination that makes desolate is set up, there shall be 1,290 days.”

This means that we have a period of 1290 years between these two important events. Let’s label them Point A   <1290 years in-between>   Point B:

1. The year the daily/regular burnt offering in the temple was taken away
2. The year the abomination that makes desolate was set up

1290 years is the period in between these events.

598 BC is the year that Nebuchadnezzar besieged Judah and Jerusalem. In 597BC Jerusalem fell to Nebuchadnezzar. In the same year, he looted the temple. This date is well documented in Nebuchadnezzar Chronicles. In this same year, he exiled the king of Judah Jeconiah and installed his own king Zedekiah. That was in fact a remarkable year and beginning of the end of the first temple era. According to Jewish tradition, it is even said that Jeremiah around 598BC hid the Ark of covenant from the Babylonian forces. Nebuchadnezzar burnt the temple in 586BC.

The Babylonian Chronicles written on stone reads:

“In the seventh year [of Nebuchadnezzar, 598 BC] in the month Chislev [November/December] the king of Babylon assembled his army, and after he had invaded the land of Hatti (Syria/Palestine) he laid siege to the city of Judah. On the second day of the month of Adar [16 March] he conquered the city and took the king [Jeconiah] prisoner. He installed in his place a king [Zedekiah] of his own choice, and after he had received rich tribute, he sent forth to Babylon”

So, if we take 598BC as our point A and add 1290 years to it (subtract if you are converting to AD), we get point B in AD:

1290 years – 598BC = 692AD!

692AD is remarkably the year the DOME OF THE ROCK was setup!!! The foundation of that Islamic shrine was laid in 688AD and completed or set up in 692AD. How precise and remarkable the revealed word of God testifies that indeed God is almighty and all knowing. This is a confirmation of the 42 months’ timeline which identified the Dome of the Rock as indeed the abomination. Let’s see Daniel’s prophecy again and I will attempt to fit in the interpretation in parenthesis:

“¹¹ And from the time that the regular burnt offering is taken away (598BC) and the abomination that makes desolate is set up (692 AD), there shall be 1,290 days (years)” Daniel 12:11

Halleluiah! Praise be to the God of Israel!

1335 days interpreted: Time of the End revealed

Now what I think is even most important and remarkable is the last revealed number before the revelation to Daniel was finally shut up and sealed. That number is 1335 days and it is the only one that comes with a blessing/happiness attached to it. Why?

In the following verse of 1290 days prophecy:

¹² Blessed is he who waits and arrives at the 1,335 days. ¹³ But go your way till the end. And you shall rest and shall stand in your allotted place at the end of the days.”

Why was a blessing attached to this number ‘1335 days?’ We have seen how remarkably the 1260 and 1290 fulfilled. Those who will see the 1335 days are said to be blessed or happy, why?

Your guess is as good as mine. Because in v13, Daniel is assured that he will not live to see the end but he will be resurrected to see this time of the end. So, the resurrection of the dead or the second coming of our Lord Yeshua is the highly anticipated time of the end. Is this also the same as the 1335 days? Maybe. Many bible students of different ages think so too.

Daniel was very much concerned about his people who were in exile.

The 1335 days is almost abruptly introduced, as if the angel was reluctant to reveal more information about it. I believe this maybe the time of the end and indeed it has been revealed to us for a reason.

So, if we follow the events of Daniel 12:11 and then add 1335 years to when the abomination was setup, what do we get?

692AD + 1335 years = 2027 AD (!)

But I also think it is possible we start counting the 1335 from 688AD which is the year the trampling of the mount began. So:

688AD + 1335 years = 2023 AD (!)

Is 2023/2027 AD the year of his second coming and resurrection?? Is 2023/2027 the year of reward to the saints which means he will appear before then? Why are those who will see the 1335 days blessed? Will the LORD further lengthen or shorten the time?

2023 will be the 75^th anniversary of the state of Israel and also the 56^th anniversary of Jerusalem under Jewish control from 1967.

2027 will be the 60^th anniversary of the 1967 liberation of Jerusalem from gentiles.
